Tim Arden
Creator of GENPLAY. Tim Arden is the pen name of the person who built GENPLAY — the seven-question method, the engine behind it, and every article on this blog.
The method came out of a simple observation: adult self-description is edited — by ambition, by the job market, by who we would like to be — while what you loved at seven was chosen with no audience and no agenda. GENPLAY reads that early evidence: the film you rewound, the game you replayed, the story you demanded again, the work your family did. Every conclusion it draws must quote the answer it came from, so you can check the reasoning and reject it.
What I am not
I am not a psychologist, a therapist, or a clinician of any kind, and neither this blog nor the test pretends otherwise. Nothing here is diagnosis or treatment. The articles hold themselves to the same standard as the product: claims you can test against your own week, with the reasoning shown — never authority you are asked to take on faith. Where a topic sits next to something clinical, the article says so and points at the professionals who are the right tool for it.
Why a pen name
Because the argument should not depend on who makes it. Every method described here can be run with a pen and paper before you decide whether to trust the tool — that is the point, and it works the same whatever name sits above it.
Questions, corrections, disagreements: contact@genplay.me. Corrections are the fastest way to make the blog better — the whole method is built on being checkable.
